Trident was founded in 2015 by Captain Alex Edwards with the purchase of the tug Finlay. Since 2015 Trident now operates a fleet of three tugs, cargo vessel, ramp barges, bulk barges and a marine terminal “Trimarine Terminals Ltd based out of North Vancouver, BC.
Alex brings over 25 years of experience to the company and holds a valid Master Certificate to date.

Trident Navigation Ltd. has experience supporting the entire supply chain that provides goods to Canada and the USA. With this experience customers entrust Trident with specialty towing services ranging from specialty heavy lift barges to the infamous “McBarge”.
